Job summary

TalentSpoc is seeking an experienced Consultant Visceral Surgeon to join a leading UAE healthcare facility in Dubai. The role focuses on advanced surgical care for complex gastrointestinal conditions, including open and minimally invasive procedures.

The successful candidate will diagnose, plan, and execute surgical treatments, supervise junior medical staff, and collaborate with gastroenterologists and oncologists to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• Postgraduate qualification in General Surgery/Visceral Surgery or equivalent.
• Significant consultant-level post-specialization experience.
• Experience in open and minimally invasive abdominal procedures.
• Strong surgical judgment and clinical leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and surgically manage abdominal and digestive diseases.
• Perform open and MIS procedures on stomach, intestines, colon, gallbladder.
• Manage hernias, gallstones, obstructions, and GI tumors requiring surgery.
• Develop individualized surgical treatment plans and pre/post-op care.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and supervise junior staff.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Visceral Surgeon to join our leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The ideal candidate will specialize in the surgical management of abdominal and digestive system disorders, providing advanced surgical care for patients with complex gastrointestinal conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and surgically manage diseases affecting the abdominal organs and digestive system
• Perform open and minimally invasive procedures involving the stomach, intestines, colon, gallbladder, and other abdominal organs
• Manage conditions such as hernias, gallstones, intestinal obstruction, gastrointestinal tumors, and inflammatory bowel diseases requiring surgery
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized surgical treatment plans
• Provide pre-operative evaluations and post-operative care
• Manage surgical emergencies and post-operative complications
• Collaborate with gastroenterologists, oncologists, radiologists, and other specialists
• Supervise junior medical staff and contribute to clinical quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Relevant postgraduate qualification in General Surgery, Visceral Surgery, or an equivalent surgical specialty
• Significant post-specialization experience at Consultant level
