Job summary

ADNOC Group in Abu Dhabi seeks a seasoned Drilling Engineer to lead safe and efficient drilling programs across onshore and offshore operations. You will develop and optimize drilling techniques, analyze data, and guide casing design choices to ensure well integrity.

With a minimum of five years in drilling engineering and IWCF/IADC well-control certification, you will troubleshoot operational challenges, supervise directional drilling, and contribute to cementing operations and blowout

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in drilling engineering or related roles.
• IWCF or IADC Well Control certification is required; additional drilling certifications are a plus.

Abou Role:

• Prepare and optimize drilling programs to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Develop and implement innovative drilling techniques and technologies.
• Examine and analyze drilling data to identify areas for improvement.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve operational challenges during drilling activities.
• Review and advise on casing design and material selection for various drilling projects.
• Execute well suspension and abandonment plans in compliance with industry standards.
• Advise on blowout contingency plans and hazard identification strategies.
• Analyze subsurface pressures, borehole stability, and rock mechanics to ensure drilling integrity.
• Develop and review cementing design and operations for optimal well integrity.
• Supervise directional drilling and anticollision strategies to ensure safety and accuracy.

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in drilling engineering or related roles.
• Certification in Well Control (i.e., IWCF or IADC) is required. Additional certifications in drilling operations are preferred.
