Job summary

ADNOC Group in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Drilling Engineer to design and optimize drilling programs, lead operations, and safeguard well integrity across onshore and offshore projects.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering, have at least 5 years of drilling experience, and possess IWCF/IADC Well Control certification. UAE-based work with competitive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or Mechanical Engineering required.
  • Minimum 5 years of drilling engineering experience.
  • IWCF/IADC Well Control certification required; additional drilling certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and optimize drilling programs to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Develop and implement innovative drilling techniques and technologies.
  • Examine and analyze drilling data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve operational challenges during drilling.
  • Review and advise on casing design and material selection for various projects.
  • Execute well suspension and abandonment plans in compliance with industry standards.
  • Advise on blowout contingency plans and hazard identification strategies.
  • Analyze subsurface pressures, borehole stability, and rock mechanics to ensure drilling integrity.
  • Develop and review cementing design and operations for well integrity.
  • Supervise directional drilling and anti-collision strategies to ensure safety and accuracy.

Abou Role

  • Certification in Well Control (e.g., IWCF or IADC) is required. Additional certifications in drilling operations are preferred.
