Working within Amazon Vendor Services, the specialist will manage relationships with strategic brands, analyze commercial performance, and coordinate initiatives that improve product selection, availability, customer traffic, pricing, and conversion.
The role provides broad exposure to Amazon's retail operations and requires a professional who can combine analytical thinking, commercial judgment, and strong relationship management. The successful candidate will use data to identify growth opportunities, translate category plans into practical actions, and help major vendors improve their performance on Amazon.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end relationships with assigned strategic and Tier 1 vendors.
- Act as a trusted business advisor by providing brands with commercially relevant recommendations.
- Develop productive relationships with vendor stakeholders and create mutually beneficial growth plans.
- Define joint business plans based on brand priorities, category objectives, customer needs, and performance data.
- Translate category business plans into clear actions, owners, deadlines, and measurable outcomes.
- Support brands in meeting or exceeding agreed vendor improvement targets.
- Review financial, commercial, operational, and customer‑experience metrics regularly.
- Turn raw data into practical conclusions and prioritized recommendations.
- Identify opportunities to improve sales, profitability, product visibility, availability, and customer engagement.
- Assist vendors with new product launches and the expansion of their product selection on Amazon.
- Improve product discoverability by coordinating content, merchandising, and search‑related actions.
- Monitor stock availability, lead times, defects, operational costs, and supply‑chain performance.
- Work with vendors and internal teams to reduce avoidable shortages, delays, and operational defects.
- Analyze traffic sources and identify opportunities to attract more qualified customers to brand pages and products.
- Support the planning and execution of digital marketing, merchandising, and retail‑event campaigns.
- Coordinate with Amazon's media teams to deliver high‑quality promotional and event execution.
- Plan promotional activities that strengthen customer value and increase conversion.
- Review the customer journey and recommend improvements to product information, pricing, promotions, and purchasing experience.
- Manage and improve pricing, visibility, and availability across assigned brand portfolios.
- Collaborate with marketing, finance, supply, operations, category, product and technical support teams.
- Identify improvements to Amazon Vendor Services processes, tools, systems, and operating mechanisms.
- Contribute ideas that help scale the service efficiently across the Middle East and North Africa.
- Participate in cross‑functional projects involving technology, analytics, vendor operations, and customer experience.
- Maintain accurate business plans, performance reports, action trackers, meeting notes, and vendor updates.
Ideal Profile
- UAE National with a valid family book.
- Currently completing the final year of a bachelor’s or master’s degree, or graduated within the last 24 months.
- Degree in business, science, engineering, supply chain, or a related discipline.
- Experience gained through employment, internships, university projects, or extracurricular activities in account management, project management, customer‑facing, or commercial roles.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Confidence working with financial, commercial, and operational data.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to communicate clearly and build productive relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Arabic language ability is advantageous.
- Interest in e‑commerce, digital retail, consumer brands, and online customer behavior.
- Ability to manage several priorities and vendor accounts in a structured manner.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment where priorities may change quickly.
- Previous exposure to key account management, brand management, or portfolio management is beneficial.
- Experience in a multinational company, particularly within FMCG, e‑commerce, retail, or digital services, is preferred.
- Familiarity with process improvement techniques is advantageous.
- Experience managing large data sets is beneficial.
- Knowledge of Google Analytics, SQL, HTML, or other analytical tools is preferred.
