Job summary

GEMS Education in the United Arab Emirates seeks a skilled teacher to support students with SEN through individualized teaching and interventions. You will adapt lessons, develop IEP-informed strategies, and collaborate with HOI and staff to promote inclusive learning.

You will monitor progress, communicate with parents, and contribute to safeguarding and school development activities while upholding high professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Support students with SEN and additional learning needs through appropriate, individualised teaching and interventions.

• Provide one-to-one and small-group interventions to support academic, social, emotional, and communication development.
• Monitor, assess, and document student progress, reviewing support strategies as required.
• Work closely with Class Teachers and Subject Teachers to promote effective inclusion within the mainstream classroom.
• Communicate regularly with parents and relevant staff regarding student progress and support needs.
• Liaise with the HOI, school leadership, and external specialists where appropriate.
• Promote student wellbeing, independence, confidence, and positive behaviour while maintaining safeguarding standards.
• Contribute to an inclusive school environment and participate in relevant meetings, training, professional development, and school activities.
