Job summary

GEMS Education in Dubai is seeking a dedicated teacher to support students with SEN and additional learning needs through individualized teaching and interventions. The role involves contributing to IEPs and targeted learning strategies, differentiating activities, and providing focused one-to-one and small-group support.

You will monitor student progress, collaborate with teachers to foster inclusion, and maintain regular communication with parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support students with SEN and additional learning needs through individualized teaching and interventions.
• Assist in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and targeted learning strategies.
• Differentiate learning activities and materials to meet diverse student needs.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group interventions across academic, social, emotional, and communication development.
• Monitor, assess, and document student progress; review strategies as needed.
• Collaborate with Class Teachers and Subject Teachers to promote inclusion in mainstream classrooms.
• Regularly communicate progress and needs with parents and relevant staff.
• Liaise with HOI, school leadership, and external specialists as appropriate.
• Promote student wellbeing, independence, confidence, and positive behavior while upholding safeguarding.
