Job summary

GEMS Education in Abu Dhabi is seeking a dedicated teacher to support students with special educational needs (SEN) within an inclusive mainstream setting. You will contribute to developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and implementing targeted learning support strategies, while differentiating activities to meet diverse needs.

You will deliver one-to-one and small-group interventions, monitor progress, and collaborate with classroom teachers.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with special educational needs.
• Ability to adapt and differentiate learning activities.
• Strong communication with parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support students with SEN and additional learning needs through individualized teaching and interventions.

• Liaise with HOI, school leadership and external specialists as appropriate.
• Promote student wellbeing, independence, confidence and positive behaviour while safeguarding.
• Contribute to an inclusive school environment and participate in meetings, training, and school activities.
