Job summary

Duncan & Ross in Dubai seeks an experienced Senior Structural Designer to join our engineering team on ongoing oil and gas projects. The ideal candidate will lead SP3D-based FEED and detailed design efforts with a strong background in onshore structures.

You will develop 3D models and 2D drawings, coordinate with structural engineers and other disciplines, review vendor data, and ensure timely, high‑quality design packages in compliance with international codes (AISC, BS, API).

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Structural Designer in oil and gas, onshore focus.
• Experience in FEED and Detailed Engineering phases.
• Expert-level SP3D proficiency is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel and concrete detailing.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models and 2D drawings for structural systems using SP3D.
• Prepare structural layouts general arrangements and detailed drawings in compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Coordinate with structural engineers and other discipline designers to ensure design consistency and clash-free models.
• Review and incorporate vendor data and client requirements into design deliverables.
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality design packages as per project schedules.
• Participate in model reviews and resolve technical issues related to structural design.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international design codes and industry standards (e.g. AISC BS API).
