Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Civil / Mechanical Engineer – Solar PV to bridge structural engineering and mechanical layout for utility-scale PV plants. You will oversee design review, optimization, and on-site technical supervision of civil foundations, piling, and tracking systems.

The role requires ensuring foundations withstand wind loads, align with tracker kinematics, and provide a stable base for maximum energy yield, with close interface to electrical teams and adherence to project

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering.
8+ years planning and scheduling experience, with at least 2 years in utility-scale Solar PV projects.

Responsibilities

Enforce mechanical torque auditing programs and tighten structural fasteners to specification.
Generate daily/weekly construction reports comparing site progress to the project schedule.
Resolve structural-to-mechanical interface clashes, e.g., piling vs MV cabling or drainage paths.
Review subcontractor shop drawings, calculation sheets, material submittals, and Bar Bending Schedules for concrete foundations.
Coordinate with electrical engineering to align tracker motors with power supplies and control arrays.
Review and approve structural layouts for fixed-tilt and single-axis trackers (e.g., Nextracker, ATI, Arctech).
Ensure strict mechanical tolerances for tracker alignment, drive-slewing, and damper installations.
