Role Overview
Social Studies Teacher - CBSE full‑time position in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Deliver engaging Social Studies lessons in a CBSE curriculum school, support curriculum development, and maintain high classroom and academic standards.
Salary: 6000-9000 monthly (market estimated).
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Social Studies to students in line with CBSE curriculum standards and school academic expectations.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons covering history, geography, civics, social awareness, culture, and citizenship.
- Develop lesson plans, classroom activities, assignments, assessments, and learning resources that support student progress.
- Promote critical thinking, discussion, research skills, and awareness of local, regional, and global issues.
- Assess student performance through classwork, homework, projects, tests, and examinations.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, coursework, assessments, and student progress.
- Support curriculum development by reviewing learning objectives, teaching materials, and assessment practices.
- Stay updated with educational trends, CBSE requirements, and best practices in Social Studies teaching.
- Apply effective classroom management strategies to maintain a positive and disciplined learning environment.
- Support students through academic guidance, feedback, and additional help where required.
- Collaborate with colleagues, coordinators, and school leadership to maintain high teaching standards.
- Follow KHDA regulations, school policies, safeguarding procedures, and professional teaching expectations.
- Communicate professionally with students, parents, teachers, and school leadership when required.
- Contribute to school events, academic activities, assemblies, projects, and wider school initiatives.
Qualifications and Ideal Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Studies, History, Geography, Political Science, Education, or a relevant subject.
- Minimum 1 year of teaching experience in the UAE; experience teaching within a CBSE curriculum school is preferred.
- Strong understanding of CBSE academic standards and curriculum expectations.
- Good knowledge of KHDA regulations and UAE school requirements.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage students and classroom responsibilities effectively.
- Proficient command of the English language.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to develop curriculum plans and adapt learning materials to support student needs.
- Knowledge of current educational trends and modern teaching methods.
- Professional, student‑focused, and committed to academic excellence.
- Physically present in the UAE and sponsor‑visa holders are preferred.
