UniqPay is seeking a Social Media Intern to help build the public voice of a fintech start-up in Dubai. You will write, design, schedule, and publish real posts under your own name, shaping how the market first encounters UniqPay.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Draft, design, and schedule posts for LinkedIn, Instagram, and X from idea to publish.
• Maintain a content calendar to avoid late delivery.
• Identify and tell the internal stories that will engage audiences.
• Monitor industry posts to spot trends and learn from others.
• Measure reach, engagement, and follower growth and flag underperforming posts.
• Support employer branding and make roles easy to find for target readers.

About the Role

We are looking for a Social Media Intern to help build the public voice of a company that does not have one yet. This is a paid six‑month internship in Dubai. You will write, design, schedule, and measure real posts that real people read, and you will do it with your name attached to the work.

Most fintech social media is unreadable. Ours does not have to be, because nobody has decided what it sounds like yet. You will help decide, alongside the founders, and everything you publish becomes part of how the market first meets UniqPay. That is unusual for an internship, and it is the reason the role exists.

What you will do

• Make the posts: Draft, design, and schedule content for LinkedIn, Instagram, and X, from first idea to published post.
• Keep the calendar: Maintain the content calendar so the pipeline is planned rather than panicked, and nothing ships late.
• Find the story: Turn what is actually happening inside the company, a launch, a hire, a market, a lesson, into something worth reading.
• Watch the market: Track what other payments and fintech companies publish, and bring back what works and what embarrasses them.
• Measure honestly: Report on reach, engagement, and follower growth, and say plainly when a post did not land.
• Help the employer brand: Support hiring content that makes the roles in this pack findable by the people who should read them.
• Build the library: Organise a usable archive of images, templates, and approved copy so the next person inherits a system.
• Protect the line: Run anything about products, regulation, or clients past the founders before it goes out. In payments, a careless post is a compliance issue, not just a bad tweet.

Who you are

• Stage: A final year student, recent graduate, or someone early enough to be learning fast and honest about it.
• Writing: You write clean, plain English with a voice. Formal is not the same as good.
• Native platform sense: You know why a post works on LinkedIn or X and dies on Instagram, without needing a course to explain it.
• Design basics: Comfortable in Canva, Figma, or similar, enough to make something look deliberate.
• Curiosity: Willing to learn how payments actually work, because you cannot write well about what you do not understand.
• Ownership: Ships work without being chased, and asks when something is above your line.
• Availability: Able to work from the Dubai office for the internship period.

Bonus points if

• You have run a social account, a newsletter, a student page, or a personal project that people actually followed.
• You shoot or edit short video.
• You write in Arabic or another language spoken across our markets.

We aim to reply to every application within ten business days, and our interview process usually takes around three to four weeks. It is a short, practical process: a real conversation, an exercise that looks like the actual job rather than a brain teaser, and time with the people you would work beside, founders included.
