Job summary

Amazon in Dubai is seeking a data/automation engineer to lead GenAI initiatives and the development of data-driven solutions that optimize GSF operations. The role focuses on translating business needs into technical deployments, building predictive models, and delivering dashboards for key metrics.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage end-to-end technology projects, and drive ongoing process improvements through data analysis and innovative tech solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Data Science or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in technology and operations.
• Proven track record implementing technical solutions in operations.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• 3 years of data visualization and reporting tools experience.
• 3 years cross-functional collaboration with tech and non-tech teams.
• 3 years driving end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership.
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and SQL.
• Experience defining program requirements using data and metrics.
• Experience in process improvements and data-driven optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of automation tools and GenAI initiatives to optimize GSF operations
• Design and deploy data-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency
• Analyze complex datasets to identify optimization opportunities and develop predictive models for capacity planning
• Create and maintain dashboards and reporting systems for operational metrics
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement technical solutions for warehouse management
• Drive process improvements through technical innovation and data analysis
• Manage end-to-end project lifecycle for technology implementations

Technical Skills Required

• Strong proficiency in Python programming and SQL
• Experience with data science and machine learning techniques
• Ability to develop and maintain ETL pipelines
• Expertise in data visualization tools (Tableau Power BI etc.)
• Understanding of warehouse management systems and supply chain technologies
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS preferred)
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
