Job summary

Gulf Contracting & Landscaping (GCL) seeks a Traffic Coordinator to oversee safe and efficient traffic movement around project sites, implementing approved Traffic Management Plans and coordinating with authorities for permits. The role involves supervising traffic marshals and ensuring compliance with ADOSH and RTA/ITC guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have NEBOSH/ IOSH and a Bachelor/Traffic Related Diploma with 5–7 years of experience, and be prepared for outdoor, extended hours work and

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: NEBOSH/ IOSH.
• Bachelor/ Traffic Related Diploma.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor traffic management activities at the project site.
• Develop TTMPs in compliance with regulations and project requirements.
• Coordinate road diversions, lane closures, detours, and signage as required.
• Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, traffic marshals and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with traffic authorities to obtain permits and approvals.
• Supervise traffic marshals; ensure detours, barriers, signs and signals meet permit conditions.
• Maintain inventory of traffic management assets and safeguard them.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate insurance claims if needed.
• Monitor traffic during peak hours and adjust site operations.
• Ensure works on live roads comply with ADOSH and RTA/ITC manuals.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain records of permits, validity and expiry dates.
