Job summary

Fisher Human Resource Consultancy in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Road Safety Coordinator to oversee road safety and traffic management across project operations. The role ensures safe transportation practices, compliance with UAE traffic regulations, and adherence to HSE standards on site.

The candidate will develop and monitor journey management, driver competency, and safety performance while coordinating with logistics and site management.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Safety, or related discipline.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in road safety or transport safety within construction, EPC, or infrastructure projects (GCC preferred).
• NEBOSH IGC or IOSH Managing Safely (Mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of UAE Traffic Laws and road safety standards.
• Experience in journey management and fleet safety monitoring.
• Incident investigation and risk assessment experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Road Safety Plans (RSP) and Traffic Management Plans (TMP).
• Monitor all project transport activities including light and heavy vehicles.
• Ensure compliance with journey management procedures and defensive driving practices.
• Conduct road safety inspections, vehicle audits, and driver compliance checks.
• Monitor driver licensing, competency, training, and approvals.
• Investigate road traffic incidents and near misses; implement corrective actions.
• Conduct road safety inductions and awareness sessions.
• Maintain road safety KPIs, reports, and performance statistics.
• Coordinate with logistics, subcontractors, and site management to ensure safe traffic flow.
• Support client and regulatory audits related to transport safety.
