Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent – Civil to oversee civil construction activities across projects in Abu Dhabi. You will manage day-to-day site operations, ensure work aligns with drawings, specs, quality standards, and project schedules.

The role requires 10+ years of UAE experience, preferably in Abu Dhabi, with a strong background in supervising large-scale building projects and coordinating subcontractors and site teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant civil construction experience.
• UAE experience mandatory, preferably within Abu Dhabi.
• Experience with a main contractor / construction contractor is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, drawings, specifications, and site execution.
• Proven experience managing subcontractors and site teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily civil construction activities at the project site.
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, foremen, and skilled/unskilled workers.
• Ensure construction works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
• Monitor site progress and coordinate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Engineers, QA/QC, HSE, and other project teams.
• Coordinate the sequencing and execution of civil works to meet project schedules and milestones.
• Review drawings and identify technical or construction-related issues and coordinate their resolution.
• Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and resources required for site activities.
• Ensure proper coordination between civil works and MEP/other disciplines where applicable.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved quality and HSE standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and follow up on outstanding works and corrective actions.
• Assist in resolving site constraints, technical issues, and construction conflicts.
• Prepare and provide regular updates on site progress, manpower, and construction activities.
• Ensure housekeeping and safe working practices are maintained across the site.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, approvals, and handover activities as required.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in civil construction projects.

• UAE experience is mandatory, preferably within Abu Dhabi.

• Experience working with a main contractor / construction contractor is highly preferred.

• Strong experience in supervising large‑scale construction projects.

• Experience with hotel, residential, apartment, commercial, or mixed-use projects is an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, drawings, specifications, and site execution.

• Proven experience managing subcontractors and site teams.

• Good understanding of construction quality and HSE requirements.

• Strong coordination, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

• Ability to work in a fast‑paced construction site environment.

• Engineering/technical qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with 10+ years of construction experience and strong UAE/Abu Dhabi site supervision experience, particularly within main contracting companies and large‑scale building projects, are encouraged to apply.
