Job summary

Black & Grey HR is hiring a Site Engineer - QA/QC for a marble manufacturing facility. The role focuses on monitoring site installation works, ensuring drawings and specs are followed, and coordinating inspections with consultants and clients.

The candidate will prepare shop and as-built drawings, conduct quality inspections, maintain QA/QC documentation, and report findings to the Project Manager. Must have 3–5 years in site engineering/QA/QC within construction or marble sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years' experience in site engineering, QA/QC or installation works, preferably in marble or construction.
• Experience preparing/reviewing shop drawings and as-built drawings.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and interpreting technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare shop drawings based on project requirements and specs.
• Perform site measurements and prepare as-built drawings on completion.
• Submit Work Inspection Requests (WIRs) to consultants/clients for approval.
• Monitor installation works for alignment, dimensions, and quality.
• Maintain QA/QC documentation and reports.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, contractors, and site teams.
• Identify discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions.
• Report installation progress and quality issues to the Project Manager.
• Ensure QA/QC checklists and quality standards are followed.
• Ensure defects are rectified before handover.

Black & Grey HR is hiring for a Site Engineer - QA/QC for an established building materials company with a marble manufacturing facility. The role will be responsible for monitoring site installation works, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and specifications, conducting quality inspections, preparing technical documentation, and coordinating with consultants and clients for inspections and approvals.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare shop drawings for installation based on project requirements and approved specifications.
• Conduct accurate site measurements and prepare as-built drawings upon project completion.
• Prepare and submit Work Inspection Requests (WIRs) to consultants/clients for approval.
• Monitor installation works to ensure proper alignment, dimensions, finishing, and quality as per approved drawings and samples.
• Conduct regular site inspections and maintain QA/QC documentation and reports.
• Identify discrepancies between site conditions and approved drawings and coordinate corrective actions.
• Assist in installation planning, material coordination, and technical verification.
• Record and report installation progress, quality issues, defects, and site observations to the Project Manager.
• Ensure compliance with project QA/QC checklists, specifications, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with site teams, consultants, clients, and internal departments to resolve technical and quality-related issues.
• Ensure defects are identified and rectified before handover.

Requirements

• Bachelor's/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in site engineering, QA/QC, or installation works, preferably within marble, stone, building materials, fit-out, or construction.
• Strong experience in preparing and reviewing shop drawings and as-built drawings.
• Hands-on experience with WIRs, site inspections, QA/QC documentation, and consultant approvals.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Good understanding of site measurements, installation quality, finishing, and dimensional accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail with good documentation and reporting skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, clients, contractors, and site teams.
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedures, checklists, and quality standards.
• Willingness to work at project sites and coordinate closely with the marble factory and installation teams.
