SITE ENGINEER (MEP)

Job summary

Drake & Scull International is seeking a capable Site Engineer (MEP) to support the day-to-day execution of MEP works at project sites.

The role requires a hands-on engineer who can supervise installation activities, coordinate with other disciplines, monitor progress, support inspections and ensure that works are executed safely, correctly and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and project schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of MEP site engineering experience in contracting projects.
• Good knowledge of approved drawings, specifications, method statements, inspection procedures and site coordination.
• Experience in high-rise, hospitality, residential, commercial or mixed-use building projects.
• Ability to coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors and internal project teams.
• Good reporting, communication, follow-up and problem-solving skills.
• Testing and commissioning support experience.
• Exposure to document control platforms and project reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily MEP installation works including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection or discipline-specific activities.
• Coordinate manpower, foremen, technicians and subcontractors to achieve planned daily and weekly targets.
• Ensure work is carried out as per approved shop drawings, method statements, material approvals and project specifications.
• Coordinate with civil, architectural and other MEP disciplines to resolve site clashes and execution constraints.
• Monitor material availability, site progress, productivity and quality readiness for inspections.
• Support inspection requests, consultant comments, snag clearance, testing, commissioning and handover activities.
• Maintain daily reports, site records, manpower updates, work progress and technical coordination records.
• Ensure safe work practices and immediate reporting of unsafe conditions or execution risks.
