Job summary

CNQC Middle East Contracting LLC is seeking a Site Engineer to supervise daily construction activities, ensure quality, and monitor progress in Dubai. The role requires strong drawing interpretation skills, site coordination with subcontractors, and adherence to project schedules.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with 3–5+ years of civil site experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, and familiarity with QA/QC, HSE, and construction methods.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities ensuring compliance with drawings and schedules.

• Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and project managers on site issues.
• Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings for accurate on-site implementation.
• Assist with site layout inspection, material verification, and commissioning readiness.
• Maintain site documentation, safety compliance, and project close-out tasks.

Site Supervision

Construction Execution

• Site Supervision Supervise daily construction activities to ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings specifications and project schedules
• Quality Control Inspect construction works monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications
• Progress Monitoring Monitor daily site progress prepare progress reports and coordinate with the project team to achieve project milestones
• Site Coordination Coordinate with subcontractors consultants and project managers to resolve site issues and ensure smooth project execution

Drawing Interpretation

Site Inspection

• Drawing Interpretation Review and interpret architectural structural and MEP drawings to ensure accurate implementation on site
• Site Layout Inspection Assist with site setting out verify dimensions and levels and inspect completed works for compliance with design requirements
• Issue Identification Identify discrepancies between drawings specifications and site conditions and report them for timely resolution
• Material Inspection Verify construction materials and ensure they meet project specifications and quality requirements before installation

Project Coordination

Safety Compliance

• Resource Management Coordinate labor equipment and materials to support efficient construction activities
• Project Documentation Maintain daily site reports inspection records work progress reports and other project documentation
• Health Safety Ensure compliance with HSE policies safety regulations and company procedures to maintain a safe working environment
• Project Completion Assist in inspections snagging testing commissioning and handover activities to ensure successful project completion

Education

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Experience

3–5+ years of proven experience as a Civil Site Engineer.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in AutoCAD and interpreting engineering and construction drawings. Strong knowledge of site supervision, RCC works, structural works, finishing works, and construction methods. Experience in quality control (QA/QC), site inspections, and project execution. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications. Knowledge of Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is an advantage. Familiarity with construction standards, building codes, and HSE regulations.
