Job summary

Sembol Construction seeks a qualified Site Engineer for a luxury hotel project in Fujairah, UAE. The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of UAE construction experience and strong skills in site execution, drawing interpretation, quality control, and project coordination.

Candidates with no UAE experience or fresh graduates will not be considered. Willingness to work at the Fujairah project site is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a qualified and experienced Site Engineer to join our team for a luxury hotel construction project in Fujairah, UAE. The ideal candidate must have minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the UAE construction industry and a strong understanding of site execution, Civil building construction drawings, quality control, and project coordination.Candidates with no prior UAE construction experience and fresh graduates will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily construction activities at the project site to ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and site supervisors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Interpret and implement construction drawings, technical specifications, and method statements.
• Monitor work progress and ensure compliance with approved construction schedules and deadlines.
• Ensure that all site activities meet the required quality standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections and coordinate inspections with consultants and relevant project teams.
• Identify site issues, technical discrepancies, and construction delays, and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
• Monitor material requirements, deliveries, and usage to ensure efficient site operations.
• Prepare daily progress reports, site records, and other project-related documentation.
• Coordinate with QA/QC and HSE teams to maintain quality and safety standards.
• Ensure proper coordination between different trades and subcontractors to avoid delays and rework.
• Assist in resolving technical problems and ensuring that construction activities comply with approved drawings and applicable UAE regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the UAE construction industry is mandatory.
• Previous experience working on hotel, hospitality, luxury residential, or high-end commercial projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, site supervision, and project coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with quality control procedures, site inspections, and construction documentation.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Knowledge of MS Office and relevant engineering software is an advantage.
• Candidates must be willing to work at the project site in Fujairah, UAE.
