Job summary

Gulf Modern Contracting LLC in Dubai seeks a Site Technical Engineer to lead technical coordination on high-rise and commercial projects. You will manage drawings, submittals, RFIs, and approvals while liaising with consultants and site teams to ensure on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has a civil engineering background, UAE contractor experience, and strong drafting and documentation skills in English. Excellent coordination and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience as Site Technical Engineer or Technical Office Engineer with a main contractor in the UAE.
• Experience in high-rise residential or commercial building projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and consultant approvals.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and engineering documentation systems.
• Knowledge of BIM coordination is an advantage.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review and coordinate drawings to identify discrepancies, clashes, and missing information.
• Prepare, review, and track shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and other docs.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, designers, and site teams to resolve issues.
• Monitor deliverables and approvals to ensure alignment with schedules.
• Maintain engineering registers, submission logs, and weekly progress reports.
• Follow up on consultant comments and resubmissions until final approval.
• Identify potential delays, procurement constraints, and escalate when needed.
• Support site teams with clarifications and coordination for handover.
• Ensure submissions comply with project specs and standards.

• Review and coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to identify discrepancies, clashes, and missing information.
• Prepare, review, and track shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, and other technical documentation.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, specialist designers, and site teams to resolve technical issues.
• Monitor engineering deliverables and approvals to ensure compliance with project schedules.
• Maintain accurate engineering registers, submission logs, and weekly progress reports.
• Follow up on consultant comments, revisions, and resubmissions until final approval.
• Identify potential technical delays, procurement constraints, and approval issues, escalating them to management when required.
• Support site teams with technical clarifications and coordinate documentation for project handover.
• Ensure all technical submissions comply with project specifications, approved designs, and applicable standards.

Requirements
