Job summary
Heidi Chef Solutions LLC in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, seeks an Automation Software Engineer to develop, modify, test, and maintain industrial automation software using Siemens technologies. The role focuses on software development and remote engineering support using Siemens TIA Portal V21, Siemens S7 PLCs and WinCC SCADA/HMI platforms.
This position does not include electrical design, panel design or site installation responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer or Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience developing Siemens PLC and SCADA software.
- Proficient with STEP 7, S7-1200/1500 PLCs and WinCC Professional/Unified.
- Strong understanding of PLC programming languages and industrial communication protocols.
- Experience supporting FAT and remote commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Develop PLC applications using Siemens TIA Portal V21.
- Develop and maintain S7-1200/1500 PLC programs.
- Develop, configure and modify WinCC HMI/SCADA apps.
- Review FDS, SOO, and I/O schedules prior to development.
- Collaborate with project managers, controls engineers and commissioning teams.
- Provide remote software support during commissioning and FAT.
- Maintain software version control and documentation.
