Modora showroom in Dubai seeks a commercially driven Interior Designer to sell to walk-in clients, focusing on furniture ranges rather than studio design services. The role carries a monthly sales target and commission, covering consultation, space planning and closing whole-room and villa projects from the Modora range.

Design skill helps selling; candidates should be able to space-plan, specify from floor ranges, and upsell schemes. SketchUp/AutoCAD skills are a plus, not required.

Qualifications

• Showroom or retail floor experience selling to walk-in clients.
• Furniture industry background is essential.
• Professional English.
• Has carried a sales target and earned commission in a previous role.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed a monthly sales target and commission plan.
• Convert single-item enquiries into whole-room and villa projects.
• Consult with walk-in clients, space-plan and build design schemes from the Modora range; manage made-to-order and custom work end-to-end: client brief, spec sheet, order, and managing the client through factory lead times.
• Work inside the designer-sales handoff model: origination credit stays with whoever brings the client; project-scope clients go designer-led, earning from a separate project-value pool so nobody competes with the salespeople for the same dirham.
• Build design capability in kitchens, wardrobes and cabinetry as these stand up as a core category over the coming months.
• Space planning and scheme-building for furniture showroom clients.
• Strong knowledge of furniture styles, materials and finishes.
• Comfortable qualifying a walk-in, upselling a scheme, and asking for the order.
• Practical, not academic, design capability: able to space-plan a room and spec it from a floor range, not just render concepts.
