Job summary

Knauf GCC is seeking a Mechanical Technician in Ras Al Khaimah. The role focuses on maximizing plant equipment availability through preventive and reactive maintenance in a fast-paced production environment. It requires strong mechanical skills and the ability to work rotating shifts.

You will maintain plasterboard and gypsum processes, repair pumps, conveyors, gearboxes and fans, and apply RCA techniques for problem resolution while adhering to safety and 5S standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering or related trade.
• 3-5 years of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Experience maintaining gypsum board production equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance across multiple plant areas during assigned shifts.
• Read drawings and maintenance procedures to repair equipment.
• Update SAP PM orders and manage spare parts inventory.
• Follow safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and RCA when faults occur.
