Job summary

Nayeducation is looking for a dedicated special education assistant based in Dubai to support students with special educational needs. The role involves providing one-on-one assistance and ensuring students can understand classroom lessons and participate socially.

Job description

• Assist the student in understanding classroom lessons and instructions.
• Modify or simplify learning materials when needed.
• Help with note-taking, reading, writing, or completing assignments.
• Provide one‑on‑one support during class, exams, and school activities.

2. Behavioral & Emotional Support

• Encourage positive behavior and help the student regulate emotions.
• Redirect attention when the student becomes distracted.
• Implement behavior management strategies recommended by specialists.
• Provide reassurance and emotional support when the student feels overwhelmed.

3. Physical Assistance (if required)

• Support mobility, positioning, or movement around the school.
• Assist with personal care tasks if approved by parents and school management.
• Ensure the students safety at all times inside the school premises.

4. Social Integration

• Facilitate positive interaction with classmates.
• Encourage participation in group activities and school events.
• Help the student build confidence and social skills.
• Work closely with class teachers, SEN coordinators, and therapists.
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding the student’s progress.
• Attend meetings, training, and workshops as required.
• Keep daily records of student performance, challenges, and improvements.
• Gradually reduce support when the student shows capability.
• Encourage the student to attempt tasks independently before providing help.
