Job summary

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics in Dubai is seeking an Operations Associate to support logistics activities, supervise the consolidation of LCL shipments, plan container loads, and coordinate with CFS, warehouses and carriers to ensure smooth cargo flow and timely delivery.

This role requires strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset for process improvements, and compliance with INCOTERMS, customs and regulatory requirements, while serving as the main contact for clients and coordinating with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in sea freight operations (FCL/LCL).
• Experience with CargoWise is a plus.
• Familiarity with INCOTERMS, international trade laws and customs regulations.
• Strong key account management capabilities.
• Knowledge of DP World and Dubai customs regulations.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• English business-level proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate multiple LCL shipments into full containers for export or deconsolidate inbound shipments.
• Plan and optimize container loads for space utilization and cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with CFS, warehouses, and carriers for smooth cargo flow.
• Oversee movement of LCL cargo through gateway hubs.
• Monitor transshipment activities and ensure timely connections.
• Collaborate with branches, network offices and carriers on global LCL routes.
• Process shipping documents (Bill of Lading, commercial docs, customs).
• Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, including customs, security and environmental standards.
• Act as main contact for clients regarding LCL shipments.
• Provide cargo status updates, delays and issue resolution.
• Coordinate with sales, customer service and operations to meet customer expectations.
• Negotiate rates and service agreements with ocean carriers, trucking companies and warehousing partners.
• Monitor vendor performance and take corrective actions.
• Analyze shipping volumes and trends to improve consolidation strategies.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality.
• Implement process improvements and automation where applicable.

The Operations Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of logistics operations through meticulous administrative and clerical support.

About The Job

• Supervise the consolidation of multiple LCL shipments into a full container for export or deconsolidation of inbound shipments.

• Ensure correct and timely processing of shipping documentation (e.g., Bill of Lading, commercial documents, customs clearance).
• Verify compliance with international shipping regulations, including customs, security, and environmental standards.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients regarding LCL shipments.
• Provide updates on cargo status, delays, and issue resolution.
• Coordinate with sales, customer service, and operations teams to align with customer expectations.
• Negotiate rates and service agreements with ocean carriers, trucking companies, and warehousing partners.
• Monitor vendor performance and take corrective actions when necessary.
• Analyze shipping volumes and trends to improve consolidation strategies.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities while maintaining service quality.
• Implement process improvements and automation where applicable.

About You

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or a similar discipline
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in Sea Freight Operations (FCL/ LCL)
• Experience with Cargo Wise will be advantage.
• Familiarity with INCOTERMS, international trade laws, and customs regulations
• Good Acumen in handing Key Accounts.
• Knowledge of DP world and Dubai customs regulations
• Professional: Proficient in all Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word and Power Point)
• Communicate professionally in English at a business level (verbal and written)
