Job summary

Ali & Sons in United Arab Emirates seeks an Automotive Technician with at least 3 years of relevant experience to diagnose, repair and maintain customer vehicles to dealership and manufacturer standards.

You will use computerized diagnostic equipment, follow manufacturer procedures, document findings, and communicate with the Parts Advisor and Team Leader to manage repair progress and customer expectations.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as an Automotive Technician or Service Technician in a similar position, preferably with the relevant automotive brand.
  • Education: High Diploma in Mechanics or a related automotive discipline.
  • Certification: Brand Basic Qualification Certificate is required.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical systems, diagnostics, repair, and maintenance. Ability to use computerized diagnostic equipment and follow manufacturer repair procedures and technical instructions.
  • Languages: Fluency in English is essential.
  • Computer Skills: Computer literate with the ability to use computerized diagnostic systems and relevant workshop software.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and diagnose mechanical and technical problems using computerized diagnostic equipment in accordance with manufacturer and brand processes
  • Perform vehicle repair and maintenance work as specified in repair orders with efficiency and accuracy
  • Carry out repairs in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards instructions and technical procedures including relevant technical information and diagnostic systems
  • Diagnose the root cause of vehicle malfunctions and carry out repairs once customer authorization has been obtained
  • Conduct comprehensive multi-function vehicle inspections and make appropriate recommendations to ensure vehicle safety reliability and performance
  • Communicate regularly with the Parts Advisor and Team Leader to effectively manage repair progress parts requirements production and customer expectations
  • Accurately document all work performed findings and recommendations on the relevant repair orders
  • Maintain and manage an inventory of standard technician tools and ensure they are kept in good working condition
  • Stay up to date with manufacturer technical bulletins service updates and the latest repair and diagnostic procedures
  • Participate in manufacturer-sponsored technical training and development programs as required
  • Follow all dealership and manufacturer quality safety and technical standards
  • Provide professional and high-quality service to deliver an exceptional customer experience and support customer loyalty
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Service Manager
