Job summary

Target Engineering Construction Co LLC is seeking an experienced Lead Welding Engineer to lead welding engineering, qualification, inspection, and QA across major Oil & Gas EPC projects in the UAE. You will ensure compliance with international codes and client requirements while driving quality and productivity.

The role covers piping, pipeline, tank, structural steel, and marine construction, with responsibilities for WPS/PQR, NDT coordination, and qualification activities, reporting to senior

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in welding engineering, inspection, QC, and fabrication for Oil & Gas EPC projects.
• Experience on large-scale EPC projects in the Middle East.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering.
• IWE certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement welding strategies and qualification plans.
• Establish WPS/PQR qualification matrices based on project MTOs and scope requirements.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, and Procurement to ensure timely welding qualifications.
• Review manpower and equipment deployment plans to support project schedules.
• Ensure availability of qualified welders, procedures, consumables, and equipment.
• Lead welding inspection programs and coordinate NDT activities.
• Oversee qualification activities across multiple disciplines.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to welding personnel.
• Support audits, client reviews, and regulatory inspections.
