Job summary

EPIC PIPING, LLC in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Welding Co‑Ordinator / Welding Engineer to lead pipeline welding activities at site, select welders and coordinate with NDT and client QC. The role requires experience in GTAW/SMAW and familiarity with API 1104, ASME IX, ISO standards, and English fluency.

You will manage a multi‑discipline welding team to ensure safety, productivity and quality on oil & gas projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Metallurgy, Mechanical or relevant field).
IWE/IWT from IIW or EWF international welding engineer diploma.
Min. 5 years of significant experience as welding engineer for Oil&Gas, Piping, Pipeline Fabrication.
Strong communication skills with fluency in English (speaking & writing).
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.

Responsibilities

Setting, Supervising & carry out activities related to pipeline welding at Site
Select Welders based on requirements of Material of Construction & monitor performance
Coordinate with NDT, Welding inspection team & Client QC
Full responsibility over welding team i.e. Welding foreman, pipeline welders, helpers etc. for daily productivity, safety & quality.
Ensuring availability of resources i.e. Welding Team, Welding machine, Welding consumables etc.
Well conversant with welding procedures, project welding specification & applicable construction code.
Assessment & evaluation of welding work environment & provide welding facility requirements including equipment, personal protection & HSE.
Qualification of Welders & Welding procedure as per Pipeline Construction Code.
