Job summary

SGS is seeking a Waterproofing Inspector for on-site work in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on inspecting waterproofing materials on delivery, ensuring correct installation, and verifying crews are trained and compliant with safety requirements.

The candidate will monitor surface preparation, assess mixing/applications, and document findings to ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards. On-site work with major construction projects is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of waterproofing inspection experience.
• Strong experience in substructure waterproofing works.
• Familiarity with Sika waterproofing systems and Henkel.
• Ability to prepare inspection reports and maintain proper quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect all waterproofing materials upon delivery to verify product quality, expiry dates, and compliance with project specifications.
• Verify that installation crews are properly trained and certified for waterproofing application and safety requirements.
• Monitor surface preparation to ensure substrates are properly cleaned, dry, and prepared in accordance with the manufacturer's requirements.
• Inspect membrane overlaps, seams, joints, and connections to ensure proper installation and bonding.
