Role Context The Senior Vice President - Cash Management Sales will lead commercial growth across the bank 's cash management business, covering corporate clients, financial institutions, and Business Banking customers. The role combines strategic sales leadership with direct client engagement, portfolio development, pipeline management, transaction banking expertise, and coordination across product and implementation teams. The position has a direct impact on CASA acquisition, fee income, payment volumes, liquidity balances, corporate card usage, digital channel adoption, and overall portfolio profitability. Success depends on converting complex treasury requirements into practical solutions while building trusted relationships with CFOs, Treasurers, finance leaders, and institutional decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Cash Management Sales team across Corporate Banking, Financial Institutions, and Business Banking segments.
  • Define and execute sales strategies that increase transaction banking revenues, deposits, client penetration, and wallet share.
  • Drive acquisition and growth of CASA balances through deeper operating account relationships and integrated treasury solutions.
  • Expand revenues across payments, collections, liquidity management, corporate cards, digital channels, virtual accounts, and information services.
  • Maintain a structured sales pipeline covering prospects, opportunities, deal stages, expected revenues, conversion probability, and implementation timelines.
  • Establish disciplined forecasting and performance reporting practices to improve commercial visibility and sales accountability.
  • Build senior relationships with CFOs, Treasurers, finance directors, treasury teams, and other corporate decision-makers.
  • Understand each client 's operating model, working capital cycle, payment flows, collection structure, liquidity requirements, and digital banking needs.
  • Position appropriate cash management solutions according to business requirements rather than relying on standardized product sales.
  • Act as a transaction banking advisor to major corporate and institutional clients across the UAE and wider GCC.
  • Partner closely with Relationship Managers and Coverage teams to identify cash management opportunities within existing client portfolios.
  • Work with Product, Implementation, Operations, Technology, and Client Service teams to ensure solutions are designed and delivered effectively.
  • Support complex client pitches, requests for proposals, treasury reviews, and strategic relationship discussions.
  • Develop commercially compelling proposals that balance client value, pricing, operational feasibility, and profitability.
  • Negotiate pricing, service structures, and commercial terms while protecting the long-term economics of client relationships.
  • Monitor portfolio revenue, fee income, transaction activity, deposits, product utilization, and profitability against agreed targets.
  • Identify underpenetrated relationships and create specific account plans to improve adoption of cash management services.
  • Analyze market developments, competitor propositions, client expectations, and emerging transaction banking technologies.
  • Provide structured feedback to Product teams on market gaps, enhancement priorities, digital requirements, and client-driven opportunities.
  • Promote greater adoption of digital transaction banking platforms and self-service capabilities.
  • Strengthen collaboration between sales and implementation functions to reduce onboarding delays and improve time to revenue.
  • Leadership responsibilities include setting clear commercial expectations, coaching team members, reviewing opportunities, supporting strategic deals, and developing a results-oriented sales culture.
  • Build individual and team capability through structured coaching, deal reviews, market discussions, and performance management.
  • Maintain strong awareness of the UAE and GCC corporate banking environment and use that knowledge to guide segment strategy.
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with applicable regulatory requirements, internal governance standards, risk policies, and client protection obligations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and appropriate controls throughout prospecting, solution development, pricing, onboarding, and relationship management.
  • Coordinate with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and operational stakeholders where transaction structures require additional review or approval.
Ideal Profile

Candidates should hold a bachelor 's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or another relevant discipline. An MBA, treasury qualification, or comparable advanced professional credential would provide additional value. The role requires at least 10 years of relevant experience in Corporate Banking, Transaction Banking, Cash Management Sales, or closely related financial services activities. Candidates should demonstrate a successful record of managing major corporate or institutional relationships and converting complex treasury requirements into profitable banking solutions. Detailed knowledge of payments, collections, liquidity management, virtual accounts, corporate cards, digital transaction banking, and information services is essential. The successful candidate should have experience leading sales professionals and consistently delivering demanding revenue, deposit, and portfolio growth objectives. Strong commercial judgment is required, particularly when evaluating client economics, pricing opportunities, competitive pressure, and relationship value. Candidates should understand the UAE and GCC corporate banking landscape, including treasury practices, working capital priorities, banking competition, and the expectations of sophisticated corporate clients. Excellent negotiation, presentation, communication, and senior stakeholder management capabilities are important.
