Job summary

Mediclinic Airport Road Hospital in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Midwifery/Nursing leader to guide the team in patient-centric, evidence-based care, drive operational efficiency, and foster positive patient experiences.

You will oversee staffing, capacity planning, compliance with UAE laws and clinical standards, and lead obstetric emergencies with drills and ready responses. This role demands strong leadership and governance excellence.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Midwifery/Nursing or related Healthcare field.
• 3-5 years’ senior nursing experience, preferably in a private hospital.
• 5-10 years senior midwifery experience, including managing a high-volume Labour and Delivery service.
• Demonstrate ability to implement the five stages of the Nursing Process.
• UAE Labour Law, regulatory framework, and governance standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership and management guidance to the team.
• Ensure evidence-based patient care practices follow clinical standards.
• Develop employees and create an environment enabling team engagement.
• Manage resources to enhance safe patient care in a cost-efficient manner.
• Monitor compliance with legislation and clinical standards for quality improvement.
• Lead obstetric emergency preparedness and ongoing readiness.
• Plan capacity, staffing and patient flow in response to activity changes.
