Job summary

Wynn Al Marjan Island seeks a Senior Technician - Audio Visual to join the resort's AV and Entertainment Technical Services team. You will oversee daily AV operations across sound, lighting, projection and control networks, ensuring seamless event delivery and high guest satisfaction.

The role requires 8+ years in AV technical services, luxury resort or entertainment venue experience, and leadership in coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Located less than 50 miles from Dubai International Airport, this integrated resort offering 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and lounges, a theater, nightclub, and five-star spa is currently under construction on a picturesque island that gracefully curves into the Arabian Gulf.

About The Position

Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Senior Technician - Audio Visual to join the resort’s AV and Entertainment Technical Services team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily functioning of AV systems including sound, lighting, projection, and control networks (DMX, DALI, Art-Net/sACN).
• Monitor and troubleshoot AV control systems (e.g., QLab, Crestron, Navigator CSC) for optimal performance.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on AV equipment, including LED walls, speakers, projectors, and control gear.
• Maintain accurate service logs, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Lead inspections to verify performance, safety, and compliance with brand standards and local regulations.
• Technical Leadership
• Supervise AV technicians and coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless event execution.
• Support technical design reviews and installations for new entertainment projects.
• Collaborate with creative teams to assess feasibility and execute mock-ups for new show concepts.
• Ensure synchronization of multimedia elements in performance lake and other immersive venues.
• Safety & Compliance
• Enforce safety procedures for rigging, flying systems, and aerial show equipment.
• Ensure all AV setups meet electrical safety standards and operational protocols.

About You

• Degree in Audio Engineering, Technical Theatre, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in AV technical services, preferably in luxury resorts or entertainment venues.
• Industry certifications in AV control systems, rigging safety, or projection technology are highly desirable.
• Expert knowledge of AV networking and control systems (e.g., QLab, Crestron, GRMS).
• Proficiency in lighting, laser, holography, and control programming tools (ETC, C++, PLC).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English; excellent interpersonal and coordination abilities in multicultural environments.
• Self-motivated, organized, and composed under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Professional demeanor and leadership presence.
