Wynn Al Marjan Island seeks an Assistant Director Production - Attractions to lead the AV and Entertainment Technical Services for the resort's events and experiences.

With 8-10 years in AV, including 5+ in leadership, the candidate will drive event strategies, vendor relationships, and safe, efficient productions in a luxury resort setting near Dubai. Fluency in English and a professional demeanor are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8-10 years in AV technical services, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in luxury resorts or five-star entertainment venues desired.
• Industry certifications in AV control systems, rigging safety, or projection technology preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive event strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Meets with Special Events Departments and Clients and establishes event audio visual setup.
• Oversees planning, logistics, and production sequencing for events including sound, projection, lighting, staging and seating.
• Oversee efficient and cost-effective operation of the Special Events department within budget.
• Schedules manpower and equipment resources for event set-up and operation.
• Ensure safety standards and risk management across in-house, contractor, and Radio crews; manage vendor and client relationships, contracts, and revenue reporting.
• Oversees and manages outsourced event organizers and third-party vendors.
• Develop, lead, and mentor events and AV technical crew; promote standards and efficiencies.
• Evaluate AV requirements and manage inventory; raise purchase requisitions as needed.
• Develop and monitor procedures for AV Events Department pertaining to setup, strike, and storage.

About The Position

Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking an Assistant Director Production - Attractions to join the resort's AV and Entertainment Technical Services team.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive event strategies that align with organizational goals.
• Meets with Special Events Departments and Clients and establishes event audio visual setup
• Oversees, directs and executes the strategic planning, logistics, production sequencing of events including the setup of sound, systems projection, and lighting equipment, staging, seating, and audiovisual requirements.
• Oversee the efficient and cost-effective operation of the Special Events department within budget
• Schedules and coordination manpower and equipment resources for event set-up and operation.
• Oversees the safe execution of all event operations by ensuring compliance with safety standards and risk management protocols across in-house, contractor, and Radio crews, while managing vendor and client relationships, contract negotiations, event design and fabrication, installation and dismantling activities, operational staffing, and revenue reporting.
• Oversees and manages outsourced event organizers and third-party vendors
• Develop, lead, and mentor events and AV technical crew while promoting company-wide standards and efficiencies
• Evaluate AV requirements and manage the inventory of operating supplies and equipment needs and as required raise purchase requisitions for operational supplies
• Develop, implement and monitor procedures, process and quality control mechanisms for the AV Events Department pertaining to event setup and strike, equipment inventory and storage and handling.

About You

• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in AV technical services, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in luxury resorts or five-star entertainment venues is highly desirable.
• Industry certifications in AV control systems, rigging safety, or projection technology preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English; excellent interpersonal and coordination abilities in multicultural environments
• Self-motivated, highly organized, and composed under pressure.
• Strong creative thinking and attention to detail.
• Professional demeanor and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Degree in Audio Engineering, Technical Theatre, Production Design, or related field would be a plus
