Job summary

Halian is seeking a Technical Manager - Systems in Abu Dhabi, UAE (onsite) to design, implement, and optimize the enterprise systems infrastructure. You will lead system engineers, manage Windows/Linux/Unix, and oversee hybrid cloud platforms and security/compliance initiatives.

The role requires 8–12 years in IT infrastructure with 3–5 years in a managerial capacity, and involves vendor management, project delivery, and strategic planning to align IT with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related discipline.
• 8-12 years of IT infrastructure experience.
• 3-5 years in a managerial or team leadership role.
• Experience managing enterprise-scale systems environments.
• Experience supporting mission-critical infrastructure and applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage enterprise server infrastructure including physical, virtual, and cloud-based environments.
• Oversee Windows Server, Linux/Unix, and hybrid cloud platforms.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and stability of enterprise systems.
• Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Govern cloud costs and optimize resource consumption.
• Implement cloud security best practices and compliance controls.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs, OLAs, and KPIs.
• Lead incident management and major outages.
• Establish preventive maintenance procedures and standards.
• Ensure 24x7 support coverage where required.
• Coordinate disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Lead infrastructure modernization and project delivery.
• Mentor Systems Engineers and Administrators.
• Develop and enforce technical standards and procedures.
• Manage vendor relationships and performance.
• Participate in procurement and evaluations.
