Job summary

OBE SHIPS Management Co. L.L.C. in Dubai seeks a Senior Technical Manager to lead the Technical Department and safeguard the technical integrity, reliability, and performance of its growing dry bulk fleet.

You will drive technical excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, optimise fleet operations, and provide strategic leadership for fleet development, upgrades, and international inspections. The role requires a Master or Chief Engineer CoC (Unlimited), 10+ years maritime experience including

Qualifications

Proven leadership of a shore-based technical department.
Strong knowledge of dry docking, machinery repairs, class surveys and planned maintenance.
Solid track record in budget control and cost management.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Technical Department and supervise technical staff.
Oversee fleet maintenance, inspections, and defect management.
Plan dry dockings, major repairs, and technical upgrades.
Ensure compliance with classification society, flag state, and international regulations.
Prepare and manage budgets and maintenance costs.
Monitor vessel performance and planned maintenance systems.
Coordinate with other departments and support vessel acquisitions.
