Job summary

Talents Tide in Dubai seeks a senior Head Technical Manager to lead the technical function across multiple construction projects. You will oversee architectural, structural, civil, MEP and other disciplines, ensuring buildability, compliance and efficient delivery.

The role requires 12–18+ years in construction, strong UAE experience, and proven leadership in technical management. You will mentor engineers, coordinate with consultants and clients, and drive value engineering within contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, architecture, structural engineering, or related field.
• 12–18+ years of experience in construction / main contracting.
• Strong UAE construction experience preferred.
• Proven experience in technical leadership roles (Head/Director level).
• Experience with building construction projects — high-rise, residential, commercial or mixed-use.
• Excellent knowledge of IFC drawings, shop drawings, RFIs, submittals and technical documentation.
• Strong understanding of UAE codes, regulations and authority approval processes.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Strong consultant, client and subcontractor coordination skills.
• Experience with BIM / Revit / AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Technical Department across multiple projects.
• Coordinate architectural, structural, civil, MEP and other engineering disciplines.
• Review and approve IFC drawings, shop drawings, submittals, method statements and RFIs.
• Lead technical coordination with consultants, clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Identify and resolve technical issues before they impact construction, cost or schedule.
• Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, authority requirements, project specifications and contracts.
• Review design changes, technical proposals and value engineering opportunities.
• Support project teams with constructability reviews and technical solutions.
• Establish technical procedures, workflows and documentation standards.
• Monitor technical submissions, approvals and design deliverables across projects.
• Lead, mentor and develop technical engineers, coordinators, architects and draftsmen.
• Provide technical reports, recommendations and updates to senior management.
• Participate in tender reviews and provide technical input during pre-construction and planning stages.
