Job summary

HUMAN-AI-Z Nexus Technology in Dubai seeks a hands-on, delivery-focused Infrastructure Lead to own design, delivery and operational quality of BITS Secure IT customer solutions across multiple client environments in the UAE.

You will lead discovery, craft high- and low-level designs, coordinate engineers and subcontractors, manage risks and incidents, and ensure security-by-design principles while supporting presales.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery, site surveys and technical assessments; convert requirements into secure, supportable designs.
• Produce and approve HLD/LLD, network diagrams, BOQs, scopes of work, method statements, test plans and as-built documentation.
• Own the technical workstream from presales handover through staging, implementation, migration, testing, training, acceptance and handover to support.
• Coordinate engineers, subcontractors, OEMs, distributors and customer stakeholders across multiple simultaneous sites.
• Control scope, risk, change impact, outage windows, rollback plans and acceptance criteria.
• Lead major incidents and complex escalations; drive root-cause analysis and permanent corrective actions.
• Review configurations, coach engineers through troubleshooting, and enforce change control, peer review and security-by-design.
• Support presales with solution concepts, effort estimates, BOQs and customer presentations; protect delivery margin by identifying risks early.

READ BEFORE APPLYING: This is a hands-on systems-integration leadership role in a customer-facing delivery organisation. It is NOT internal IT administration or helpdesk management. Candidates whose experience is limited to desktop support, user administration, password resets, ticket routing, basic monitoring or one employer's internal IT will not be shortlisted. Shortlisted candidates must pass a live configuration and troubleshooting test.

THE ROLE

Lead the design, delivery and operational quality of BITS Secure IT customer solutions - owning solution architecture, technical governance, project execution, escalations, team capability and customer acceptance across multiple concurrent client environments in the UAE.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Desired Candidate Profile

• 8+ years hands-on infrastructure engineering, with substantial delivery FOR EXTERNAL CUSTOMERS at a systems integrator, MSP, service provider, OEM partner or project-delivery organisation. Internal-IT-only careers do not qualify.

• 3+ years leading teams or project workstreams WHILE REMAINING PERSONALLY HANDS-ON (configuration, CLI, troubleshooting).

• Deep current expertise in AT LEAST ONE of the following, with working integration knowledge of the rest:

  1. Networking & security: routing/switching, VLANs, STP/LACP, QoS, WAN/SD-WAN, IPsec & SSL VPN, wireless, NAC, NGFW (FortiGate, Sophos, Palo Alto, Cisco) UC & voice: SIP, dial plans, trunks, gateways/SBC, voice VLAN/QoS, call routing (Avaya, 3CX, Teams Phone, Yeastar, Grandstream)

  2. Server & identity: Windows Server, AD sites/services, OU/GPO design, DNS, DHCP, PKI, replication, hardening, PowerShell

  3. Virtualization & continuity: VMware/Hyper-V, clusters, SAN/NAS, RAID, backup, replication, proven restore testing, DR

  4. Cloud & hybrid: Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, identity, security, migration, governance

• Proven end-to-end delivery across MULTIPLE customers, technologies and sites, through to formal customer acceptance.

• Professional-standard technical documentation (HLD/LLD, BOQ, MOP, test plans, as-built).

• Proven escalation and RCA leadership on complex faults.

• Clear written and spoken English; credible with customer stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, CS, telecom, or equivalent demonstrable experience.

• Willingness to pass a live technical assessment (scenario, whiteboard design, hands-on configuration and troubleshooting).

PREFERRED

CCNP/CCIE, Fortinet NSE/FCP/FCSS, Microsoft, VMware VCP, Veeam, Avaya, 3CX, PMP or ITIL; UAE market experience; valid UAE driving license;

AMC/SLA managed-services background.
