Job summary

The incumbent will manage Microsoft technologies, maintain security postures, and drive modernization of data center operations while coordinating with cybersecurity teams and service providers.

Job description

Job Purpose

Manage, maintain and optimize DIEZ's IT infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. Ensure the availability, security, performance and resilience of critical platforms, including Microsoft technologies, cloud services, virtualization, storage, data center infrastructure and backup and recovery solutions.

Infrastructure & Platform Management

• Administer and support Windows Server environments, server infrastructure and core enterprise platforms to maintain reliable and secure operations.
• Monitor infrastructure availability, capacity and performance, proactively resolving incidents and addressing recurring technical issues.
• Plan and execute system upgrades, patching, configuration changes and lifecycle activities in line with operational and security requirements.
• Maintain technical documentation, system inventories, operating procedures and configuration records.

Cloud, Microsoft 365 & Identity Services

• Administer Microsoft Azure and AWS services, supporting secure, scalable and cost-effective cloud operations.
• Manage Microsoft 365, Exchange, Active Directory and Entra ID, including user access, authentication, group policies and identity controls.
• Support hybrid infrastructure integration between on-premises systems and cloud platforms.
• Apply access governance, privileged access and security configuration standards across Microsoft and cloud environments.

Virtualization, Storage & Data Center Operations

• Manage VMware, Hyper-V and vSphere environments, including host configuration, virtual machines, capacity planning and high availability.
• Administer SAN, NAS and enterprise storage arrays, ensuring performance, availability and effective capacity utilization.
• Oversee data center server infrastructure, rack management, power and cooling coordination, and physical equipment organization.
• Support infrastructure modernization, consolidation and migration initiatives while minimizing operational disruption.

Backup, Recovery, Security & Resilience

• Manage backup and recovery platforms such as Veeam, Commvault, Azure Backup and NetBackup, ensuring successful completion and retention compliance.
• Perform recovery testing and support disaster recovery planning to validate recoverability of critical systems and services.
• Implement infrastructure hardening, vulnerability remediation, security baselines and audit requirements in coordination with cybersecurity teams.
• Provide advanced incident troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and technical guidance to internal teams and service providers.
