Job summary

Al Etihad Payments in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior System Administrator to design, secure, and optimize the organization’s IT infrastructure across on‑prem and cloud, including Windows and Linux servers, Azure, Entra ID, Intune MDM/MAM, and Proxmox virtualization.

You will ensure high availability, performance, and compliance of critical systems, lead L3 support, and drive improvements in security controls, monitoring, DR, and documentation in a dynamic UAE environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of system administration experience.
• Microsoft SC-300 (Identity & Access Administrator) and MS-700 (Teams Administrator).
• CompTIA Linux+ or RHCSA for Linux environments.
• Proxmox VE certification (optional).

Responsibilities

• Lead the administration and maintenance of Windows Servers and Windows client machines.
• Administer Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) including groups, roles, and apps.
• Manage Intune MDM/MAM, device enrollment, policies, and compliance.
• Support and optimize Azure Virtual Desktop environments (AVD).
• Administer Azure subscriptions, IAM roles, resources, and cost controls.
• Maintain monitoring tools, backup/DR testing, and incident escalation.
• Document configurations, governance, and security controls.
