Job summary

Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) is seeking a Safety professional to oversee and implement safety, quality and environmental controls within our manufacturing environment in the UAE. The role focuses on incident investigations, training delivery, and supervision of EHS staff to uphold high safety standards.

The candidate will ensure compliance with local regulations and international safety standards, while coordinating maintenance and testing of safety systems and promoting a culture of safety

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or NEBOSH Diploma.
  • 2–4 years of health and safety experience in manufacturing.
  • Thorough knowledge of Safety Management Systems and international standards.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer-focused skills.
  • Good time management and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

  • Implement approved departmental policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls to ensure compliance with all relevant legislative and procedural requirements while delivering quality and cost–effective services.
  • Supervise day‑to‑day Safety department operations to ensure activities are carried out in accordance with established policies, processes and procedures.
  • Oversee the effective implementation of incident investigation processes, conduct investigations and reporting of safety incidents, and coordinate with relevant agencies where required; provide recommendations based on investigation outcomes.
  • Plan, organize and deliver a wide range of safety training programs for employees at all organizational levels to promote safety awareness and reduce the frequency and severity of incidents.
  • Control and coordinate the maintenance and testing of safety protection systems across the plant to ensure operational readiness.
  • Conduct routine workplace evaluations and inspections, provide advice on safety precautions, identify non‑conformities with local regulations and international standards, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of applicable local regulatory requirements and international safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Supervise the activities and performance of subordinates, including EHS representatives, by providing guidance, training, performance feedback and setting individual performance targets.
  • Perform any other related duties and assignments as directed.
