Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the technical execution of substation projects. You will develop single-line diagrams, specify high-voltage equipment, ensure protective relay coordination, and oversee projects from conceptual design through testing and commissioning.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering and 8–12 years of direct site execution experience in HV/MV Substation Construction (11kV–132kV/400kV).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 8-12 years of direct site execution experience, specifically focusing on HV/MV Substation Construction (11kV to 132kV/400kV).

Responsibilities

• Oversee site installation of substation equipment including transformers, GIS/AIS switchgear, control and relay panels, battery banks, and generators.
• Interpret and execute works based on approved SLDs, schematics, cable trench layouts and grounding designs.
• Coordinate and witness pre-commissioning tests and high-voltage acceptance testing.
