Job summary
Confidential Company in Dubai is seeking a Design Engineer with 7+ years in 132kV GIS AIS Substation design to prepare and review electrical design deliverables in line with project specs and standards.
The role involves developing single-line diagrams, layouts, BOQs, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, supporting construction and commissioning activities, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards in Utility, T&D, or EPC projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in Substation Design.
- Experience in Utility, T&D, or EPC Projects is preferred.
- GCC/UAE experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review electrical design drawings and calculations
- Develop single-line diagrams, layouts and cable schedules
- Review vendor drawings and technical submittals
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Support engineering queries during construction
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and standards
- Prepare BOQs and technical documentation
- Participate in design review meetings
- Support project commissioning activities
