Job summary

Wood is seeking an experienced Piping Supervisor to lead and coordinate all piping fabrication activities in the fabrication shop, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards, project specs and approved procedures. You will deliver high-quality fabrication works safely, on schedule and in line with EPCM execution requirements.

The role requires 10+ years in piping fabrication with 5+ years in supervision, and proven ADNOC project experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years in piping fabrication, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven experience on ADNOC projects or similar Middle East oil & gas EPC/EPCM projects.
• Strong knowledge of piping fabrication processes, welding techniques, NDT and international codes (ASME, API).
• Familiarity with ADNOC standards, specifications and HSE requirements.
• Ability to read piping isometrics, GA drawings and P&IDs.
• Experience managing fabrication shop operations, workforce supervision and productivity control.
• Good coordination and communication with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
• Experience with large-scale EPCM projects.
• Knowledge of material control systems and spool tracking.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
• Leadership to manage multicultural workforce.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day piping fabrication activities including cutting, fit-up, welding and assembly in the fabrication shop.
• Ensure all fabrication works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, WPS, ITPs and ADNOC specs.
• Coordinate with engineering, QA/QC and planning teams for smooth workflow and timely queries resolution.
• Monitor productivity and optimize resource utilization.
• Ensure availability of materials, tools and consumables to avoid delays.
• Enforce ADNOC safety standards within the fabrication shop.
• Review fabrication drawings to identify constructability issues.
• Coordinate with QA/QC inspectors for stage, weld inspections and final acceptance.
• Track fabrication progress and report status to Construction/Project Management.
• Ensure proper identification, traceability and handling of piping materials.
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure contractual/technical compliance.
• Support pre-commissioning ensuring spools meet quality/docs requirements.
• Maintain records of fabrication activities and welding maps.
