Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer/Site Supervisor in the UAE to oversee site activities, ensure compliance with contract documents, and maintain daily resource records. You will conduct supervision and inspections under the guidance of the Resident Engineer and Structural Engineer.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the contractor on safety, quality controls, and reporting, while ensuring adherence to design documents and project schedules for bridge and related structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience on similar projects, with minimum 3 years in UAE.
• UAE experience is mandatory.
• Relevant experience in structural and roads projects.

Responsibilities

• Be familiar with the project’s contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, and health and safety measures together with updates.
• Ensure the contractor’s compliance with the standards and specifications of the contract documents.
• Maintain records of the contractor’s human and equipment daily resources.
• Undertake all site supervision and inspections when required or instructed by the Resident Engineer or the Structural Engineer.
• Liaise and daily follow up with the contractor to ensure resources, health and safety, and equipment needs are met.
• Prepare daily reports to the Resident Engineer or Structural Engineer, including works orders, material delivery, and inspections.
• Follow up and implement site instructions from the Resident Engineer and Structural Engineer.
• Apply and implement all quality controls and quality procedures of the site.
• Prepare site measurements and surveying checks needed by the Resident Engineer or Structural Engineer for bridge work and related structures.
• Coordinate with the client project manager during site inspections in the presence of the Resident Engineer or Structural Engineer.
