Job summary

9E Global Engineering Consultants LLC is seeking a seasoned Project Engineer to oversee structural design and site supervision on diverse projects in the UAE. You will review shop drawings, provide technical support during installation, and ensure compliance with international codes.

The role requires 12–15 years in engineering consultancy with hands-on supervision, strong knowledge of Etabs, Staad Pro, IDEA StatiCa, and SAP, and the ability to lead a small team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review structural shop drawings, calculations and method statements.
• Conduct site visits to monitor steel erection and resolve technical issues.
• Provide technical support during fabrication and installation phases.

• Review RFIs and provide responses.
• Ensure compliance with international codes, authority standards and project specifications.
• Monitor construction works to ensure design intent meets minimum requirements.
• Attend weekly site progress meetings.
• Collaborate with other disciplines regarding coordination issues.
• Mentor and supervise engineers and technicians.

Proven experience in the design and structural analysis of reinforced concrete and steel structures.

Master's Degree/Chartered Engineering will be an added advantage.

Business Development

Develop a network of contacts on each contract. Concentrate on developing a unified commitment of excellence in dealing with site and design team colleagues.

ProjectRole

• Works independently and as part of a team to complete specific supervision activities assigned.
• Review structural shop drawings, Calculations and method statements.
• Conduct site visits to monitor steel erection and resolve technical issues.
• Provide technical support during fabrication and installation phases.
• Identify and resolve design discrepancies or structural challenges.
• Review and approve shop drawings, fabrication drawings.
• ReviewRFIs andprovide responses.
• Ensure compliance with internationalcodes, authoritystandardsand project specifications.
• Monitorconstruction works to ensure design intent is achieved in the construction phase to theminimumrequirements required by approving authorities as the Local Consultant for the project.
• Attend weekly site progress meeting
• Collaborates/communicates with other disciplines regarding coordination issues and day-to-day supervision activities.
• Maintain awareness of project budgets and timelines, ensuring engineering solutions are cost-effective and aligned with financial objectives.
• Able to represent the practice at project level.
• Ability to supervise a small team of engineers and technicians.
• Role will normally be as Project Engineer on projects of various sizes. On major/more complex projects could take the role of a Design Engineer.
• Be responsible for delivering work to a fee agreed with a Project Manager.
• Prepare and present client and project proposals to stakeholders.
• Supports inspection team to resolve any site activity issues.
• Adopts creative and innovative solutions to site problems/clashes and develops appropriate supportive technical documentation/research reports.
• To have very sound knowledge in designsoftwarelikeEtabs,Staad pro,IDEA StatiCa, SAP etc.

• Should be responsible forQuality Management (QA) for their team.

QHSE Responsibilities

• Understand, implement andfollow 9E QHSE policies.
• Implement and coordinate QHSEprocedures in your workplace.
• Comply with local regulatoryauthority guidelines and laws pertaining to QHSE.
• Report any QHSE incidentsimmediately to 9E QHSE Dept. and to legal authorities if required.
• Abide Client/Contractor QHSErequirements and acquire site induction before mobilizing at sites.
