Job summary

AECOM seeks an experienced Senior Structural Engineer (Site) to lead on-site structural engineering for major projects in Abu Dhabi. You will oversee inspections, QC, and compliance, guiding junior staff and coordinating with architects and contractors to ensure safety and quality across all construction phases.

The role requires strong technical leadership, collaboration with project teams, and a track record of delivering critical structural solutions in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12+ years of professional structural engineering experience in site-based roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive structural inspections and QC assessments across construction phases.
• Analyze structural performance data and field conditions; provide technical recommendations.
• Prepare and review inspection reports, calculations, and compliance certificates.
• Supervise and coordinate on-site structural activities; ensure safety and specs.
• Collaborate with design teams to evaluate modifications and their structural impact.
• Manage material testing and verification processes to meet quality standards.
• Conduct site meetings and communicate findings to stakeholders and teams.
• Mentor junior engineers with guidance on structural matters.
• Maintain organized records of inspections, tests, and project docs.
• Ensure compliance with UAE building codes and industry best practices.
