AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer (Site) to join our Abu Dhabi team. You will oversee on-site structural engineering activities, ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across construction phases.

You will coordinate with architects, contractors and project management to drive successful outcomes. The role requires a minimum of 12+ years in site-based structural engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer (Site) to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you will oversee structural engineering operations on-site, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance throughout all construction phases. You will serve as a technical authority, making critical decisions that impact project success while collaborating closely with architects, contractors, and project management teams. This position offers the opportunity to lead structural engineering initiatives on significant construction projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive structural inspections and quality control assessments throughout all construction phases to ensure compliance with approved designs and local building codes
• Analyze structural performance data and field conditions, providing technical recommendations and solutions to address design or construction challenges
• Prepare and review detailed technical documentation, including inspection reports, structural calculations, and compliance certifications
• Supervise and coordinate structural work activities on-site, ensuring adherence to engineering specifications and safety protocols
• Collaborate with design teams to evaluate design modifications and assess their structural implications
• Manage material testing and verification processes, ensuring all structural components meet specified standards and quality requirements
• Conduct site meetings and communicate technical findings to stakeholders, contractors, and project teams in a clear and professional manner
• Mentor junior engineering staff and provide technical guidance on structural engineering matters
• Maintain organized records of all structural inspections, test results, and project documentation
• Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, regulations, and industry best practices throughout the project lifecycle

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 12 plus years of professional structural engineering experience in site-based roles
• Bachelors degree in Civil/Strucutural required
