Job summary

Mira Construction seeking an experienced Structural/ Civil Engineer in Dubai to supervise and coordinate all structural works on site. The role requires close collaboration with Resident Engineer, design engineers, inspectors and service authorities to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Six-day work week with Sundays off; you will maintain daily diaries and progress reports, ensure safety compliance, review shop drawings, and help hand over final clearances to authorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in structural design and construction.
• Knowledge of local Authority standards and regulations is essential.
• Proficiency in CAD, Revit and other PC software packages associated with structural modelling, analysis and design.
• Experience working in construction field in UAE for minimum 5 years.
• English level proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Resident Engineer and assist in supervising the construction of structural-related works.
• Coordinate the activities with the other engineers and members of the construction supervision team.
• Review of shop drawings design proposals method statements and other activities.
• Coordinate with design engineers for resolution of related issues.
• Maintain the daily diary and the daily reports by the inspectors.
• Direct assist and monitor the performance of the inspectors and surveyors as applicable.
• Convene and chair special meetings with the service authorities the contractor subcontractors and other parties related to his work.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
• Ensure safety goals are achieved on the project and oversee implementation of safety procedures on the project.
• Prepare Assist in the preparation of Weekly and Monthly progress reports.
• Ensure correctness and completeness of as-built drawings within his line of work.
• Keep necessary records and as-built records and take charge of the handing over of the structural works to the respective service authorities and assist the contractor to obtain necessary final clearance.
