Job summary

Mira Construction in Dubai seeks an experienced Construction Structural Engineer to lead supervision of structural works on a high-rise project. You will report to the Resident Engineer and coordinate with design and inspection teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Eng, 8+ years of UAE experience, proficiency in CAD, Revit, and related software, and a strong focus on safety and quality records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in structural design and construction for buildings.
• Proficient in CAD, Revit and structural modelling software.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Resident Engineer and assist in supervising the construction of structural-related works
• Coordinate the activities with the other engineers and members of the construction supervision team
• Review of shop drawings, design proposals, method statements and other activities
• Coordinate with design engineers for resolution of related issues
• Maintain the daily diary and the daily reports by the inspectors
• Direct, assist and monitor the performance of the inspectors and surveyors as applicable
• Convene and chair special meetings with the service authorities, the contractor, subcontractors and other parties related to his work
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of records
• Ensure safety goals are achieved on the project and oversee implementation of safety procedures on the project
• Prepare / Assist in the preparation of Weekly and Monthly progress reports
• Ensure correctness and completeness of ‘as-built' drawings within his line of work
• Keep necessary records and as-built records and take charge of the handing over of the structural works to the respective service authorities and assist the contractor to obtain necessary final clearance

The work-format: Head office supervision.

Working schedule 6 days per week from Monday to Saturday and Sunday is off.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in structural design and construction, with a strong focus on buildings
• Knowledge of local Authority standards and regulations is essential
• Proficiency in utilising CAD, Revit and other PC software packages associated with structural modelling, analysis and design
• Experience working in construction field in UAE for minimum 5 years
• English level proficiency
