Job summary

AL Marwan General Contracting Company seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead on-site technical guardianship for a mega-scale high-rise with deep basements, ensuring structural integrity and constructability. You will bridge the Lead Design Consultant’s vision with the Main Contractor’s execution, enforcing subselection of IFC drawings and local codes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required; a Master’s is highly preferred.
10–15 years of dedicated structural engineering experience on ultra-high-rise structures in UAE.
Licensing from UAE authorities for high-rise structural work is required (e.g., G+Unlimited or equivalent).
Proficiency with 3D BIM models, clash detection, and relevant codes (ACI, BS/Eurocodes).

Responsibilities

Oversee deep excavation and substructure work, monitor shoring systems and raft foundations.
Direct superstructure engineering of high-rise cores and floor plates, PT slabs, and transfer slabs.
Review submittals (BBS, PT shop drawings, steel drawings) and raise RFIs to resolve clashes.
Monitor verticality, foundation settlement, and wind/seismic effects; coordinate with survey and authorities.
